The origin of the initials that make up our company's corporate name (I, K, and K) have changed as our company has grown.

 

(1) When our company was established (November 1995), the letters in IKK meant

I = Imari

K = Kanko (Tourism)

K = Kaihatsu (Development)

 

At the time of our establishment, the parents of IKK Chairman and CEO Katsushi Kaneko operated a hotel business (Business Hotel Kaneko (left image)) in Imari City, Saga Prefecture. The origin of our company’s name when it was established came from the idea of wanting to contribute to Imari tourism through hotel business.

At a wedding in May 1981, the Chairman and CEO of IKK judged that in addition to providing emotional experiences for customers, the wedding business was also profitable and promising, so the following year (1982), in Imari City, Saga Prefecture, he opened the “Imari Grand Hotel” (right image) and launched the wedding business that formed our company as it exists today.

(2) Currently (since November 2015), the letters in IKK mean

 

I = International

K = Kansha (Gratitude)

K = Kando (Emotional)

 

And with that meaning in mind, “we work with sincerity, trust and reliance. We do so to contribute to our many stakeholders, and we are able to do this thanks to our stakeholders. For that, we are grateful, and we would like to return that gratitude to the world in the form of emotional experiences.”

Since starting our wedding business, we have developed wedding venues throughout Japan starting from Imari with the hope of transmitting emotional experiences to the world. And with that in mind, we established the following visions:

From now on, we are looking to expand into businesses other than wedding and nursing care businesses, with “emotional experiences” as our core focus.

IKK also conducts management that is centered around ideals, and we believe that ideal management is management that elicits gratitude from people. Based on the spirit of “Sanpo-yoshi” (business that is good for sellers, buyers, and the world), a practice of the merchants of the old Japanese province of Omi, we aim for management that benefits all stakeholders, including our employees and their families, our customers, local communities, as well as our partners, and we hope to become the number one company in the world creating emotional experiences that elicit gratitude.

ICARE Inc.

 

ICARE Inc. was established in 2012 as consolidated subsidiary of IKK Inc. that operates the Nursing care business.The word “I” implies four meanings about corporate philosophy.

 

(1)I-jou=Affection

We are affectionate to residents and users like a family.

 

(2)I=oneself

We recognize that human resources is the linchpin of service and keep trying to improve ourselves and endeavor to provide high-value added service.

 

(3)I-mari

Our business started from Imari City,Saga Prefecture. We will continue our effort with the “Customer First” that is our passion since our beginning of business.

 

(4)International

We keep it in mind that expanding our business from Imari to the entire country while looking at things from a global perspective.

Meitokuan Inc.

 

Meitokuan Inc. was established in 2020 as consolidated subsidiary of IKK Inc. that operates the food business. The word "Meitoku" is cited from a theory contained in the "Great Learning," which is one of the Four Books compiled by the disciples of Confucius.

Meitoku signifies demonstrating the moral qualities that humans are equipped with at birth. It captures our desire to continuously create happiness and inspiration for our customers by allowing each of our human assets gathered at Meitokuan to demonstrate their God-given merits and pursuing the fundamental principles of our operations.

 

 

Ambihone　Inc.

 

Ambihone Inc. was established in 2021 as consolidated subsidiary of IKK holdings Inc. in pursuance of our photo business development.It is a combination of "Ambitious", which means to be ambitious and keep growing, and "Honest", which means to be sincere and honest.

LALA　COEUR　Inc.

 

"LaLa Coeur" means "two hearts" in French.　It means that a life lived together is more enjoyable than a life lived alone, and that a better life can be achieved by connecting hearts and minds.
